Getting a price from us takes three steps. You tell us about the room, we come and look, and we send a fixed written quote. There is no charge for the survey, and you owe nothing for it whether or not you go ahead. The form at the foot of this page is the quickest way to start, and a message on WhatsApp works just as well if you would rather talk it through first.
Step one
Tell us about the room
The form asks for the basics: where you are, what you are thinking of, and how to reach you. A line about the room helps more than measurements do: whether it is a loft bedroom, a kitchen extension or a dark landing, and whether an old rooflight is already up there, misted or hard to open. If you have a snap of the roof or ceiling, send it on WhatsApp 07880 284133. We use it to prepare for the visit, never to price from.
Step two
What happens when we visit
We go over the roof outside and the ceiling inside, checking the covering, the pitch, the timbers and how the outside can be reached. Then we talk about daily use: who will open it, whether the ceiling is within reach, which blind would suit, how anyone will reach the outer glass to clean it and whether there are children in the house. Planning and Building Regulations get covered on the visit as well, and the rule we follow is simple: where the work is notifiable, we handle the Building Regulations notification with the council's building control team or a registered building control approver.
Ask anything you like while we are there. The point of the visit is that you understand the options before a price is on the table.

Quotes for a replacement rooflight
If a skylight is already in place and has misted, sticks or is simply awkward to use, the survey looks at whether a same-size swap suits or whether a different unit would be easier to live with. A roof window that nobody can reach might be better replaced with one that opens by rod or by motor, depending on what the maker offers for that size. Your fixed written quote, and your decision
With the visit done, a fixed written quote lands in your inbox for the job we talked through. Read it, ask about anything that is unclear, and take whatever time you need. There is no pressure to decide on the doorstep, and you can come back to us with questions by email or WhatsApp. If you go ahead, the workmanship on the job we quoted is guaranteed for ten years, and on the last day we walk you through opening it, shading it and keeping the glass clean.
